Choices
choices - How can I be certain the choices I make are in line with God’s ways?
Love the LORD your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul.
Joshua 22:5
I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
Psalm 119:11
There is safety in having many advisers.
Proverbs 11:14
[The LORD] guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.
Psalm 23:3
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
James 1:5
EVERY DAY presents new choices. When faced with a decision, ask yourself, Will this lead me closer to God or further away from him? This question will always point you toward God’s ways instead of your own. The best way to make good choices—and to avoid making decisions that benefit you at the expense of others—is to read God’s Word, seek his guidance in prayer, and seek the advice of godly counselors. The “right” choice may not always be clear. However, you can always ask God for clarity and for the strength to put him and others ahead of everything else.
