chaos - The world seems to be in complete chaos. How can I find order and peace in my spirit?

The LORD is God, and he created the heavens and earth and put everything in place. He made the world to be lived in, not to be a place of empty chaos. “I am the LORD,” he says, “and there is no other.”

Isaiah 45:18

As I stood there in silence—not even speaking of good things—the turmoil within me grew worse. . . . And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you.

Psalm 39:2, 7

He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.

Revelation 21:3-4

WE LIVE in a broken and scary world. When we focus on all the horrible things going on around the globe, we give them the power to steal our peace. The best thing we can do to find peace in the chaos is to choose to focus on knowing God and having hope in his promises. And he has promised that hope is possible because the story isn’t over yet. Someday, when Jesus returns, all chaos, evil, and grief will disappear. So the next time fear and confusion grip your heart, take a deep breath and remember who is in control.
