IT TAKES a long time to complete a great work of art. The project goes through many stages between inspiration and completion. We are God’s works of art in process. Although salvation occurs in a moment, the process of transformation into godliness takes a lifetime. For real and dynamic change to occur, God has to give us a new heart and a new way of thinking. His Spirit will help us focus on what is true, good, and right. Eventually you will begin to see the new you, a person who displays God’s good, holy, and true Spirit. While these changes may appear slow to you, God’s work is relentless and certain. Be patient with yourself and trust God to do his work in you at just the right pace.
