boredom - What can I do when I feel like being a Christian is boring?

Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.

BEING A CHRISTIAN can seem boring if we view it as a life of “Don’t do this” or “You can’t do that.” But those who grasp what the Christian life is really about find it full and exciting. When we realize that the almighty God wants to work through us to accomplish his work in the world, we will be excited at the possibilities of what he might accomplish. If you have found yourself becoming bored in your spiritual life, ask God to help you see opportunities to serve and love others. Focus on using and developing your God-given gifts and on the eternal rewards God promises to believers. If you wake up every day ready to read his Word, listen for his voice, and surrender your plan for his, you will find a life full of excitement and adventure.
