Body

body - How does caring for my body also care for my soul?

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

Acts 3:20

AS WOMEN with a lot of responsibilities, most of us race through life trying to meet one demand after another. This kind of treadmill existence will inevitably wear us down. The heart, mind, body, and soul are all connected. When we care for the body, we are also caring for the soul. Sometimes we feel guilty when we take the time to exercise, spend money on healthy food, or sleep in. However, when we fail to care for ourselves physically, we become sick, fatigued, impatient, angry, and too exhausted to engage with others and God. It’s more than okay to value the only body that God has given you—in fact, it’s necessary. Set aside time to care for your body for the sake of your soul.
