belonging - What can I do when I feel like I don’t belong anywhere?

Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny.

Isaiah 43:1

MANY OF US have experienced the ache of feeling like we don’t belong. Maybe we long to feel part of a group of friends, be more connected at church, or even become more comfortable in our own homes. When we have faith in Jesus, he promises that we are completely welcomed into his family, which includes all who follow him. Some of the many benefits of being part of his family are complete acceptance, a clear sense of purpose, victory over sin, an inheritance of real value, and the eternal security of knowing we will always be included. You may struggle to find a sense of belonging in this life, but you can rest in the truth that no matter what happens, nothing and no one can take your place as God’s daughter.
