assurance - Where can I find assurance amid the uncertainties of life?

Blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought.

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Oh, the joys of those who trust the LORD, who have no confidence in the proud or in those who worship idols.

Psalm 40:4

Those who die in the LORD will live; their bodies will rise again! Those who sleep in the earth will rise up and sing for joy!

Isaiah 26:19

The one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.”

Isaiah 43:1-2

ONE THING we can always be certain of is God’s love for us. Receiving assurance through other relationships feels good and is important, but God is the only one in whom we can trust completely without fear of disappointment. We can be assured that what he says is true and what he does is reliable. Searching for assurance in a world filled with uncertainty will always leave you feeling insecure. Assurance in this life comes from experiencing God’s love for you, which gives you security for today and for eternity.
