A prayer when in Doubt

When I question what I believe

God,

I am encouraged when I read about the many biblical heroes who struggled with doubt. Thank you, Lord, that you’re not threatened by my doubts as I seek to know you. But don’t let my doubts become sin through skepticism, cynicism, or hard-heartedness. Lord, I honestly desire to understand your mysterious nature. I ask that you would bless me with a closer sense of your presence. Lead me to the truths that will strengthen my faith in you.

When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. Psalm 94:19
