A prayer about Discouragement

When I’m feeling discouraged

Dear God,

It’s so easy to focus on my problems and forget that you are nearby and ready to help. Don’t let my feelings of discouragement shake my assurance of your love for me. Discouragement causes me to doubt your love, drawing me away from my greatest source of hope. Help me to realize that you will fight on my behalf as I trust in you.

This is what the LORD says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 2 Chronicles 20:15
