A prayer in times of Depression

When I need to reverse the downward spiral of feelings that can lead to depression

O Lord,

I feel like I am sinking lower and lower. All I can see is my own problems, pain, and despair. The more I withdraw into myself, the more difficult it becomes to see things clearly. In fact, I can only look inward, at my pain. God, I need your help to stop this negative cycle. Help me to praise you so that I can once again see how much you care for me. I praise you, God!
