A prayer in time of Sorrow

When the sorrow is overwhelming

My heavenly Father,

Draw near me in my moment of sorrow. What I have lost can never be regained, and I sense part of me will never be the same. Enter my darkness, Lord, and fill this room with your holy presence. Please be patient with me, Lord. Sit with me now in my time of grief, and comfort me with your presence. Comfort me while I shed my tears. I need you near me.

Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning. Psalm 30:5
