A prayer for Hurts

When I’ve been hurt by someone

God,

Thank you that when you forgive, you wipe away the past and forget it. You forgive perfectly, but when I am dealing with people who have hurt me, I find forgiveness difficult. I know I can’t control their actions; I can only choose whether to forgive. Help me to follow your example so that I don’t end up with a bitter spirit. Only by forgiving others will I be free to experience your forgiveness.

If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. Matthew 6:14
