A prayer for Faith

When I need the courage to live by faith

Dear Lord,

I want to have faith like the great men and women of the Bible. That means not just agreeing to a list of beliefs but being willing to stake my very life on those beliefs. When I have that kind of faith, I will be willing to trust you with my life. I will be willing to follow your guidelines for living, as outlined in the Bible, because I have the conviction that this is best for me. I will even be willing to endure ridicule and persecution for my faith because I am so sure that you are who you say you are and that you will keep your promises about salvation and eternal life. May I live every day with the certainty that you are not only the Almighty ruler of all but also the one who truly cares about who I am. With that kind of faith, I will follow wherever you lead.
