When my plans are in conflict with God’s

Dear God,

Sometimes I feel as if I’m not cut out for a life of faith. I know that I’m self-centered and that I need your Holy Spirit to change my heart and align my vision with your will. As the Spirit works in my life, I know that I will see my desires and plans begin to mirror yours. Change me, Lord, so I can enjoy the fruit of your work in my heart.

All of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. 2 Corinthians 3:18
