A prayer about the Promises Of God

When I wonder if God’s promises in the Bible apply to me today

Lord God,

Sometimes I feel that you are far away or even irrelevant to my daily life. But when I read your promises in the Bible, I am reminded that you are anything but distant and aloof. You promise to be with me in the form of the Holy Spirit. You promise to forgive my sins, to give me peace of heart and mind, to carry my burdens, and to give me rest. How much more meaningful and relevant could your promises be? With you always by my side, I don’t need to be afraid. With you forgiving my sins, I don’t need to feel guilty anymore. I am motivated to overcome temptations instead of succumbing to them. God, I am so thankful that you offer to carry my burdens so I can be free from worry and anxiety. I praise you for the peace of mind and heart these promises bring! Thank you, God, that you promise all of these things and that you are faithful in keeping your promises. Help me to cling to your eternal promises each day so I will never forget how close and relevant you really are.
