A prayer about the Holy Spirit

When I wonder how the Holy Spirit makes a difference in my life

Dear God,

Thank you for your Holy Spirit, who is your presence living within me, helping me discover the wonders of your character and teaching me deep truths about who you are. It is your Spirit in me that helps me know the truth about sin and convicts me when I do sin. You help me distinguish between right and wrong, good and bad, your way and the way of the world. Thank you, God, that you care enough about me to give me one-on-one instructions for how to live a life that pleases you.

I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. John 14:16-17
