A prayer about Strength

When I’m tempted to trust in my own power

Almighty God,

I have learned that my abilities do not always make me strong. In fact, the demands of life often reveal my weakness. But your wisdom and power are frequently demonstrated through human weakness. When I try to depend on my own strength, I close myself off to your infinite power. Work through me, Lord, in ways that would be impossible in my own strength.

I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
