A prayer about Loss

When I’ve lost someone I love

Dear God,

I am still mourning my great loss. I’m grieving, and it’s so difficult. Thank you, Lord, that expressing my pain is healthy and can actually bring me closer to you. Thank you that you are compassionate and patient. Please help me to feel the comfort of your presence as I move through this time of grief.

God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4
