A Prayer About Insecurity

A prayer about Insecurity

When my insecurities keep me from serving God

Dear God,

How amazing that you made me in your own image. You must value me highly! You didn’t make a mistake with me; you created me with unique gifts so I can do the specific tasks you have for me. You do not expect more than you know I can give, but you do insist that I use what you have given me. Help me to discover my own special gifts and then find the right area of service to use them. Just knowing your purpose for me melts away my insecurities and gives me the courage to be bold in serving you. Don’t let me hesitate because of self-doubt, but help me to serve you with passion and great joy!

You have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. Romans 8:15-16
