A prayer about Evil
When I want to distance myself from evil
Almighty God,
How I praise you that ultimately you will judge all evil at the last day. But there have also been times here on earth when your anger against evil was poured out in judgment. You rose up and said, “Enough!” People who live an evil lifestyle put themselves in harm’s way enough times that harm eventually comes to them. O God, help me not to get so close to evil that I find myself in harm’s way because of your righteous and imminent judgment. Please fill me with your Spirit so that I am not attracted to those who do evil. Don’t let me become like them. May I never be so in touch with evil that it suddenly dawns on me just how dangerous my situation is. Grant me the grace to be strengthened by those who love you and wholeheartedly follow you.
