A Prayer About Differences

A prayer about Differences

When I’m feeling different

Christ Jesus,

Your Word tells me I am designed to contribute to the body of believers. Like the human body, the body of Christ is made up of separate and different parts, yet all parts work together to sustain life. Each believer has a unique role to play. My role will be different from others’, but the beauty is that these differences help sustain your church and allow it to flourish. Lord Jesus, don’t let me hold back because I desire another’s gifts or because I think I have nothing to offer. Your Word tells me that I fit in and that I’m supposed to be unique. When I doubt I belong, encourage me through this thought so I will not abandon your body, the church, in this time of need.

He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. Ephesians 4:16
