A prayer about Church

When I need affirmation that church is important

Lord God,

Thank you for my church. I need to be reminded that together all believers make up your family, and it is only by meeting together that we can learn to lean on each other. I am grateful that the church equips me to do your work and encourages me in my faith. As I am involved with my church, Lord, let me learn to work in unity with other believers, reconciling differences in a way that is only possible through your Spirit. As we meet together, may we build each other up and help each other. Thank you that every believer is important; your body is not complete unless each of us is part of it. I know you are present everywhere, Lord, but you are present in a special way when believers gather to worship you, serve you, and learn about you. Help me look forward to church this week.

Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:25
