A prayer about Blessings

When I need perspective on God’s blessings

Lord God,

The greatest blessings you have given me are far more valuable than money or possessions. These are blessings that keep giving: joy, peace of heart, spiritual gifts, family, friendships, and the confidence of eternal life. You have given me far more than I deserve, and you give it freely simply because you love me. I could never earn the blessings that come from walking in your presence, so my obedience is not rooted in pride. No, I obey you because I am deeply grateful for all of these undeserved gifts. I enjoy them all the more knowing there are no strings attached. Thank you, Lord. May my heart always be humble and thankful to you.

He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. Psalm 103:10-11
