A prayer about Choices

When I need guidance to make the right choices

Dear Jesus,

Each day presents me with many choices. The best choices I can make are to honor you and obey your Word, because doing that will always put me squarely in the center of your will. I pray that you will direct me in my decision making. Teach me as I read your Word, guide me as I communicate with you in prayer, and speak to me through the advice of godly friends and mentors. Keep me from choices that benefit me at the expense of others. It’s such a simple guideline to put others before myself and put you before everything else, but implementing it can be challenging. Each day offers me the choice to serve you, Lord. Please help me to maintain a “God first” attitude so I can know with certainty that I am choosing your ways.
