A Prayer About Worship

A prayer about Worship

When I remember why I need to worship God

Holy God,

You have created all human beings to worship—to revere, adore, pay homage to, and obey you. People worship many things, but your Word is clear that you alone are worthy of praise. You are the creator of all, the ruler of the universe, the wise, loving God who is far greater than I can even imagine. You call me to worship you as you really are, according to your true person and nature, with other believers and on my own. As I learn to worship at any time and in any place, may I experience your presence. Teach me, Lord, to praise you whenever I see your wisdom, power, direction, care, and love working in the world around me. Then worship will become a way of life that deepens my relationship with you.

Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways! For who can know the LORD’s thoughts? Who knows enough to give him advice? And who has given him so much that he needs to pay it back? For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen. Romans 11:33-36
