A prayer about Worry

When worry overwhelms me

Merciful God,

Worry is overwhelming me today. Most of the things I worry about never even happen, so I’m wasting my time and emotional energy for nothing. O Lord, when I feel consumed with worry, teach me to make a conscious effort to turn those thoughts into prayer. When I tell you my concerns, help me turn them over to you to handle. I know there is no problem that you cannot overcome. If you, almighty God, are taking care of me, I have no need to worry.

The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. Psalm 121:8
