A prayer about Love

When I want to express my love for God

Father God,

How can I show you that I love you? Just as acts of service can show my family members that I love them, so obedience to your commands can express my love for you. But may I never confuse that with trying to earn your love by doing good works. You already love me, and nothing I do can change that! Because of your great love, I want to please you.

This is what [the Lord] requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8
