A prayer about the Will Of God

When I want to know what God’s will is for my life

Heavenly Father,

I want to follow your will for my life, but sometimes it seems so vague and difficult to know what that is. I wish you would give a clear sign to show me the way! But the truth is, in your Word you have already given me a whole set of directions that will keep me in your will. I want to do my best to follow your commands. You call me to worship you only, love my neighbors and enemies, use my spiritual gifts, tell the truth, refrain from coveting and stealing, be sexually pure, teach my children spiritual truths, avoid gossip, be generous, read your Word regularly, let the Holy Spirit control my life—and other instructions for healthy, godly living. What more direction do I need? Please give me the willingness and self-discipline I need to live according to the guidance you have set forth in the Scriptures. Then I know I will be right where I want to be: in the center of your will.
