A Prayer About Fatigue

A prayer about Fatigue

When I am exhausted and need help to keep going

Heavenly Father,

You created me as a flesh-and-blood human being, and I’m grateful that you know my need for rest. Even Jesus, when he was on earth, understood the limitations of his body and took regular opportunities to be alone and rest. My life is so busy. It’s full of good things, but if I don’t pay attention to the health of my body and soul, I get so tired. Then I can’t think clearly and I’m apt to do or say something I’ll regret. Please renew my strength. I know that when I’m tired, I have an extra opportunity to experience your faithfulness. Refresh my heart as I come to you in praise, refresh my soul as I come to you in prayer, refresh my body as I come to you in solitude, and refresh my mind as I come to you in need. As I approach you, may I have a thankful heart and receive a renewed perspective. I love you, Lord. Thank you that I can draw strength from you and release my burdens into your hands.

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:29-31
