A prayer about Honesty

When I seek to live an honest life

Lord,

I want to be completely trustworthy, honest in even the little things. It’s sometimes tempting to cut corners and cheat on small details, but I know doing that is a slippery slope that may make it difficult for me to be honest when bigger things are at stake. Help me always to remember that even if no one else is watching, you see. You know my character, Lord—my strengths and weaknesses. I need you to work in my heart as I seek to become a woman of complete integrity. Give me the discipline to build my life with the bricks of honesty so that I may have a strong foundation upon which to act with integrity when I encounter greater challenges and responsibilities. May my life always be governed by your standards of fairness and justice.

Who may climb the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies. They will receive the LORD’s blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior. Psalm 24:3-5
