A prayer about Salvation

When I want salvation to make a difference in my daily life

Lord God,

I’m amazed by the wonderful things you have promised me. When I received salvation by accepting Christ as Lord, you guaranteed that I would inherit eternal life in heaven. Everything I could want or need will be provided for me; I will lack for nothing and be forever in your presence. How wonderful! May this knowledge change the way I live now. Show me that when I possess eternal security, I can worry less. I can be confident that nothing can harm my soul or my future. I can take risks by stepping out in faith when I think you are asking me to do something for you. I can give generously and have peace of mind. O Lord, may I live as though my future holds everything I could ever want—because you have promised that it truly does.

We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin. And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him. Romans 6:6-8
