When I want to be fully committed to God

Heavenly Father,

Relationships with parents, husbands, children, and friends take effort and energy. My relationship with you is no exception. Thank you that you are faithful; you remain fully committed to me even when my commitment to you wavers. Help me, Lord, to be diligent in my efforts to know you better—that’s what will make our relationship deeper and more exciting. May I consistently study your Word, which will help me understand your heart and hear your voice. May I have a thankful heart, which will cause me to see your goodness and blessings everywhere I look. And may I serve others, which will require me to take my eyes off myself and experience the excitement of being part of your purpose. Please take the embers of my passion for you and blow them into a flame!

I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart. Ezekiel 11:19
