When I wonder whether miracles still happen

God,

Sometimes the miracles I read about in the Bible seem like ancient myths. But just as Pharaoh was blind to the miracles you performed right before his eyes, I know I am sometimes blind to the mighty work you are doing around me. I think of miracles as dramatic events, such as raising a dead person to life, but they’re not always so obvious. Unveil my eyes so I can see your intervention in my life and the miracles happening all around me. The birth of a baby, an amazing sunset, the healing of an illness, the restoration of a seemingly hopeless relationship, the rebirth of the earth in the spring, the wonder of salvation by faith alone, and your specific call on my life are just a few. May I have the faith to see that you are constantly at work in the world, in beautiful and powerful ways.

Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people! Psalm 66:5
