A prayer about Work

When I’m not sure my work has purpose

Lord God,

You have called me to work diligently and with enthusiasm at whatever I do, whether I’m a mom at home raising my children or a professional working at a salaried job. Train me to think of my daily tasks as having been assigned by you. With that perspective, I will feel more purposeful, and I will begin to work for your approval instead of anyone else’s. May I always work enthusiastically for you so that I can be proud of the work I do.

Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. Romans 12:11
