A prayer about Love

When I wonder where romance is found in a life of faith

Father God,

It’s such a wonderful feeling when others express their affection for me, enjoy my company, and are captivated by me. That makes me feel confident, interesting, and lovable. I tend to think of this in human terms, but the more I read your Word, the more I realize that you yourself are a romantic who longs for a close relationship with me. You desire my company and are interested in the smallest details of my day—you want nothing more than to walk with me through this life and for all eternity! You say that I am precious to you, and I’m filled with awe at this thought. As I realize my value in your eyes, teach me to find confidence in your love for me, strength to be faithful to you, and deep hunger to know more of you. Thank you for your amazing love that meets my deepest needs.
