A Prayer About Limitations
A prayer about Limitations
When I wonder how God could use me
Lord God,
I feel so weak and limited, and I wonder what I can possibly do for your Kingdom. But when I start to question my usefulness to you, I am reminded of the many times in the Bible when you took doubting, unqualified people and used them greatly. Gideon said he was “the least” of his family, but you called him a mighty hero! He wasn’t yet a hero, but with your help and direction, he became one. I look at my limitations, but you see my potential. I see my weakness, but you see the woman you intended me to be—the woman you created me to be. O Father, help me learn to see life from your perspective. You, almighty God of the universe, look at me for what I can become with your help rather than for what I am! Thank you for encouraging me this way. May I never hide from your call, thinking I am unqualified. Instead, may I respond with courage, knowing that you will never call me to a task without fully equipping me to do it. You will bring out the best in me.
All glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20
