A prayer about God’s Promises

When I affirm my belief in God’s promises

Faithful Lord,

When other people promise me something, I consider whether they are truthful and dependable and whether they have the ability to carry out what they promised. I’m really assessing their character and power. But the truth is, only you possess both of these in perfect degree. You alone are completely trustworthy; I trust you absolutely. Lord, I believe that your promises will come true, even when my circumstances lead me to doubt. Your word is rock solid; your promises will never falter or waver. I have all the reassurance I need, and I give you my heart.

I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name. Psalm 138:2
