A prayer about Encouragement

When I need divine encouragement

Lord God,

I long for someone to come beside me, to lift me up and strengthen me. I look to others for encouragement, but how much better to receive it from you! Your encouragement inspires me to go on, to renew my commitment and resolve. It gives me hope that my task is not in vain—that I can make a difference. May I always seek courage by looking up to you, the sovereign God.

Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
