A Prayer About Differences
A prayer about Differences
When I’m in conflict with another person
Father,
You know I’m struggling in my relationships with a few people right now. Their point of view and approach to life are so different from mine that we clash, and I fear we may never be compatible. I’m frustrated by my inability to live in peace with them, and I need your help to respond to them with grace and patience. I take hope in the fact that you will one day restore camaraderie among even the greatest of enemies in the animal kingdom. If you have such a wonderful plan for the animals, how much more will you restore human relationships! I look forward in faith and hope to the day when all creation will live together in harmony. In the meantime, even as I struggle with these people, please empower me to treat them with love and to keep my words and actions above reproach.
The wolf and the lamb will feed together. The lion will eat hay like a cow. . . . In those days no one will be hurt or destroyed on my holy mountain. I, the LORD, have spoken! Isaiah 65:25
