A prayer about Crisis

When I don’t know what to pray

Lord God,

I’m struggling in a time of crisis right now, and my thoughts are racing. I desperately need your help, but I don’t know how to pray. I thank you that I don’t have to ask you to be with me—you already are. You have said that you will never leave me or forsake me, no matter what happens in this world, and I cling to that promise. Help me, Lord, to recognize your presence and have the humility and discernment to accept your aid. Guide me toward peace and hope. Remind me of your promise to someday bring me to heaven, where all trouble, sickness, and pain will end forever. Calm my panic and bring peace to my mind and heart. May I be mindful of your loving presence today and always.

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Psalm 46:1-3
