A prayer about Confusion

When I’m uncertain about the future

Lord God,

Sometimes I feel confused about which direction I should take. It’s frustrating to waver, full of indecision. But I know that your Word gives me a sure compass and directs me the right way. I can begin to reduce the confusion in my life when I follow the Bible’s guidelines about what roads not to take. When I’m doubting my path, help me to read your Word, focus my thoughts on you, and pray for your wisdom. Show me which paths are off-limits and which is the right one for me. You promise to direct me as I seek your will, and I cling to that promise. Clear up my confusion as you teach me to view the world from your perspective. May I never rely on myself but depend solely on your wisdom.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6
