A prayer about Compassion

When I want to reflect Christ’s compassion

Lord Jesus,

When I see the incredible needs and pain around me, my heart aches. That gives me just an idea of how the needs of all humanity moved you to compassion and to action—dying on the cross for us. May my compassion go beyond emotion. May it motivate me to put my love into action to meet the needs of those around me.

Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. Mark 6:34
