A prayer about Comfort

When I need to experience God’s comfort

Heavenly Father,

I am so thankful that you welcome me when I call on you in distress. Your Word tells me that you always answer the cry of those who are lonely, afraid, or brokenhearted, and I’m crying out to you right now. You are my comfort, Lord, and I cling to the promises you have set forth in your Word. May they encourage me in my circumstances and give me the confident assurance that I will one day live forever in peace and security with you. I praise you that your Word is as close as my fingertips, and you are as close as my whispered prayer.

The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. Psalm 34:17-18
