When I want to develop godly character

Loving God,

I want to be a woman of godly character. As I observe other Christians, I see that there is nothing more beautiful than a woman who is at peace with you and confident in the abilities and tasks you have given her. She knows her value in your eyes and rests in your love. She meets the needs of those around her, and that is appealing. Lord, may I cultivate inward beauty. May I focus my attention on eternal matters and on what you say is most important. Then the beauty of my actions and attitude will encourage others.

Even if some refuse to obey the Good News, your godly lives will speak to them without any words. They will be won over by observing your pure and reverent lives. Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. 1 Peter 3:1-4
