A prayer about Choices

When I need help making a decision

Dear Lord,

Every day I face new choices, and I’m not always sure what to do. Sometimes I feel paralyzed by having so many options because I wonder if there really is just one right one. But I know that you don’t want me to remain immobile, full of fear that I might make the wrong decision. No, you have set me free to serve you. Your Word makes it clear that the choices that will always be right are to honor you and to obey your instructions. This will without fail put me in the center of your will, and that’s where I want to be! Lord, as I make difficult decisions, help me to seek your wisdom by reading your Word, searching for your guidance through prayer, and obtaining advice from godly counselors. When I put you ahead of everything and everyone else, I will be choosing to serve you—and that’s a choice that will never be wrong.

Love the LORD your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul. Joshua 22:5
