A prayer about Challenges

When I’m afraid to take risks

Lord God,

I’m facing new challenges, and meeting them will require me to take some risks. That’s scary for me, but when I look at your Word, I see many examples of great risk takers who embraced the challenges of their lives. Abram left everyone and everything he knew when he responded to your call to move to a new place. Esther risked her life to go before the king and plead for the Jewish people. These were ordinary people, but you empowered them to respond to big challenges. Make me bold, Lord! As I take risks for you, may I have faith that you are by my side and will help me overcome whatever I am facing. Give me the courage to step out boldly in confidence. I know you will open the way for me.
