A prayer about Belonging

When I consider what it means to belong to God

Lord,

Because I belong to you, I know that sin no longer controls me. I still sin, of course, but I’m no longer enslaved to it—with your help I can overcome it because you have set me free from it! Because I belong to you, I can be certain that death is not the end. My heart overflows when I realize that I will live eternally with you and receive all that you have promised in the Bible. And because I belong to you, you bless me today with spiritual blessings, peace of heart, comfort, close friendships, and the satisfaction of knowing that I’m doing what you created me to do. Thank you, Lord, for these countless privileges that come from belonging to you and being part of your family!

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Ephesians 1:3
