A prayer about Acceptance

When I wonder if I’m acceptable to God

Loving God,

Sometimes I wonder why you would want me as your follower. What do I have to offer you? Why would you seek after me? When I have these thoughts, I remember the truths in your Word. My very existence is proof of your faithful love for me! You created me in your own image so I could have a relationship with you. You chose me before the foundations of the world were laid. You made me and equipped me with abilities to use for your special purposes. You call me your child. Thank you, Lord. May I never forget these things, because when I do, I lose sight of who you really are, and I miss out on being useful to you.

God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory. Romans 8:29-30
