A prayer about Absolutes

When I ponder God’s absolutes

Father God,

Your Word is my instruction book; it’s a manual that tells me how to get the most out of my life. Sometimes I prefer to go my own way, but I know you have programmed certain absolutes into the world. They apply to all people, in all times, and in all places. Teach me, Lord, that when I ignore your instructions, I’ll miss much of what you intend for me to enjoy. Even worse, when I go against your instructions, I often end up hurt, frustrated, and disappointed. Impress on me the importance of reading your Word, discovering your absolutes, and living by them. Only then will I find fulfillment in my life.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
