A prayer for Confidence - Anticipating an important event

GOD IN HEAVEN,

This is my day for meetings. Often I seem to go from one to another. Usually that’s not a big deal—they are routine, and I’m prepared. But today, sandwiched between the meetings is a crucial appointment, and a lot rides on how it turns out. Because of that, I’m anxious about what impression I will make and what I will say. I know that you are interested in every part of my life—not just what most consider the “religious” aspects, but also how I think and use my mind, how I feel, how I relate to others, and how I take care of my body. I commit to you every choice, action, and interaction. I ask for your confidence and peace. Please help me do my best in this situation, to keep my poise and speak clearly. Help me to be true to my values and to honor you with my words and actions. I want to represent you well at all times.

Blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8
